Peanut Butter and Basil Sandwich
The other week, I made spring rolls for supper. Not all that much – simply rice paper moved around rice noodles, carrot and cucumber sticks, and some nut sauce for plunging. Goodness, and basil. This was critical.
Assuming there’s one thing you should be aware of my better half and me, it’s that we have various preferences. I, for example, can get a modest bunch of basil and eat it crude – blissfully. My better half, then again, gets distrustful assuming that there’s anything else than 2 twigs in a single dish. People, so unique now and then.
Thus, while eating his spring rolls stuffed amply with new basil, he started to select the leaves in general and set them on his plate. What’s more, in a snapshot of wrath and disarray, I inquired, “Are you going to eat that?” To which he answered, “No, it’s simply excessively.” Thus I did what any intelligent foodie would do. I swiped them up in one hand, plunged them in my nut sauce, and ate up them in one extreme and absolutely fulfilling nibble. Also, at that time, I knew peanut butter and basil would do incredible things together.
